Вера Янченко в своем реди-мейде раскрывает перед нами историю о том, насколько непросто бывает проживать свои чувства открыто, вместо того чтобы прятать их глубоко внутри. Сейф, показанный на видео, олицетворяет саму Веру, которая долгое время сдерживала в себе крик, рожденный из внутренней пустоты и хаоса, но которому не находилось выхода из-за кажущейся неуместности этих эмоций. Постоянная череда шокирующих событий – смерть и похороны отца, развод и другие события в жизни – заставляли ее держать эти чувства под замком, углубляя трещину, через которую они стремились вырваться наружу. Однако символично, что в итоге сейф так же безмолвно открывается, выпуская этот крик на свободу – тем самым Вера демонстрирует, что контроль над эмоциями и их проявление полностью зависят от самого человека, в данном случае, от нее самой.

Vera Yanchenko, in her edit, reveals to us the story of how difficult it can be to live your feelings openly, instead of hiding them deep inside. The safe shown in the video embodies Faith itself, which for a long time held back a cry born of inner emptiness and chaos, but which could not find a way out due to the seeming inappropriateness of these emotions. A constant series of shocking events–the death and funeral of her father, divorce and other events in her life–forced her to keep these feelings under lock and key, deepening the crack through which they sought to break out. However, it is symbolic that in the end, the safe also silently opens, releasing this cry to freedom – thus Vera demonstrates that control over emotions and their manifestation completely depend on the person himself, in this case, on herself.
